Wild Bill Durkin Bio

Nashville based, Native New Yorker, Wild Bill Durkin has shared Songs, Stages and Subway cars with Blues Traveler,
Spin Doctors and Joan Osborne. Relix Magazine described his music as,"rollicking rock and roll".

Wild Bill is a founding member of the vital roots music scene that produced these renowned artists. The Sunday Jam he hosted at the famed Nightingale Bar served as a catalyst for numerous bands of that period of New York Roots Music.The Dan Lynch Blues Bar, a few doors away, served as Wild Bill Durkin's fundamental musical classroom.

Having performed on three Continents, Wild Bill is known as a high energy performer with a knack for writing upbeat material. College Music Journal described his songwriting as, "topnotch, catching interesting glimpses of the downside of life, without being cliched."

He lived and performed in Europe for several years both as a Busker (street performer) and in Clubs. He has since returned to Europe to perform numerous times.

Wild Bill Durkin has been living in Nashville for many years and returned to public Music life, following a ten year sabbatical, as a professional Firefighter in Tennessee. FAQs 

Currently focusing on his Songwriting and Production career, Wild Bill is working from his Studio, The Fret Farm, in Nashville.

 Wild Bill Durkin has also built and repaired stringed instruments through out his career. He plays Heritage Guitars of Kalamazoo exclusively and has been an Artist Endorser since 1990.
